Set against the grandeur of a Victorian country house nestled in the heart of Leicestershire, Megan and Aiden’s wedding at Kilworth House Hotel was a perfect blend of elegance, romance and beautifully personal storytelling. With its rich history dating back to the 19th century, this Grade II listed Italianate mansion offered a luxurious yet welcoming setting for their special day. From the intricate architecture to the sweeping grounds, Kilworth House was the ideal backdrop for a celebration that was both intimate and unforgettable.
The Orangery, with its delicate ironwork and glass ceiling, became the heart of the wedding—hosting the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception all in one exquisitely lit space. The couple loved how the venue combined convenience and character, offering ample accommodation for guests who had travelled from near and far, and ensuring the day could unfold beautifully regardless of the weather.
There was no strict theme to the day, but every detail was a nod to their shared journey. Each table was named after a destination they had travelled to together, quietly weaving their story through the celebration. It was a day of genuine emotion, laughter, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the last dance.
Their first dance was to Everyday from High School Musical—a playful and heartfelt choice that spoke to both their shared childhood memories and Megan’s love of musical theatre. It was a perfectly light-hearted yet sentimental moment that reflected their personalities and their bond.
Megan and Aiden first crossed paths in 2013 through mutual friends, but it wasn’t until 2020 that they truly reconnected. From that moment on, everything just clicked. “We instantly connected and everything just flowed naturally,” they said. It was a meeting of minds and hearts that felt effortlessly right.
The proposal story was, in true Megan and Aiden fashion, full of love, laughter and a few plot twists. Aiden had planned to propose during a trip to Paris, but a last-minute injury left Meg concussed—and Aiden scrambling to get everything ready without raising suspicion. After managing to sneak the ring past airport security (cleverly hidden in a bundle of tissues), he waited for the perfect moment beneath the lights of the Eiffel Tower. A passing American couple offered to take a photo, and as the camera clicked, Aiden dropped to one knee and asked Meg to marry him—capturing not just the image, but a memory that will last a lifetime.
The couple chose Tom Stenlake Photography after a recommendation from a friend, and they were drawn to Tom’s natural, timeless style and ability to capture authentic moments. Their wedding gallery reflects every laugh, glance, and emotion of the day—preserving not just how it looked, but how it felt.
