With three classic cars, a touch of Harry Potter magic, and all the romance of a Christmas proposal…

When I think back to Emma and Jack’s wedding at Rackleys Chiltern Hills, the first thing that comes to mind — other than the rain — is just how joyful and personal the whole day felt. Despite it raining for most of the day, it didn’t put a single damper on their spirits. In fact, it only added to the atmosphere as the venue glowed with warmth, laughter, and love from start to finish.

A Bit About the Venue
Rackleys is a beautifully restored 18th-century Chiltern Hills barn, tucked away in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. With its rustic oak beams, exposed brickwork, and elegant finish throughout, it’s no wonder Emma and Jack didn’t need to view anywhere else — they knew it was the one the moment they saw it. And honestly, I can’t blame them. It’s one of those venues that feels luxurious without losing its charm.

Three Classic Arrivals
The morning kicked off with serious style, as Jack and his groomsmen rolled up in not one, but three stunning vintage cars: a Triumph Stag, a classic Ford Mustang, and an Aston Martin. If that doesn’t set the tone for a stylish entrance, I don’t know what does!

A Love Story Years in the Making
Emma and Jack’s journey began through mutual friends years before they had their first official date. Jack eventually found the courage to ask Emma out — and from their first date on 21st April 2017, that was it. Smitten. Fast forward to Christmas Day 2022: in their new home, Emma was digging under the tree for a ‘forgotten gift’ when she turned around to find Jack on one knee. With their baby on the way and the glow of Christmas surrounding them, it was a beautifully intimate proposal full of meaning and joy.

Touches of Magic
The wedding theme was a subtle blend of elegance and personality. With fresh pastel florals, hints of gold and pearl, and delicate nods to their love of Harry Potter hidden throughout the decor, it was the perfect balance of classy and whimsical. There were themed favours and signage dotted about — a lovely way to weave their shared love of the series into the day without going overboard.

Dancing to ‘Anyone’
Their first dance was to Anyone by Justin Bieber — a track that’s followed them through their relationship. Slow and tender to start, then building into something fun and upbeat, it summed them up perfectly.

Why Me?
Emma and Jack told me they chose me because of my content on social media and my fair pricing, which honestly means a lot. They were a brilliant couple to work with — so relaxed and easy-going, even when the weather had other plans. I’m really proud of what we created together, and I can’t wait for them to relive it all through their gallery.

To Emma and Jack — thank you again for letting me be part of your day. It was magical from beginning to end, rain and all.
