What a day! Rachael and Jamie’s wedding at The Barns at Hunsbury Hill in Northampton was everything they had hoped for – relaxed, personal, and full of meaning. These two have a story that truly feels like it was meant to be, and capturing it all was an absolute joy.

They first met as teenagers at college, quickly becoming the kind of friends who just clicked – always laughing, always getting on like a house on fire. Life pulled them in different directions for a while, but years later they reconnected, and that same connection never left. As Rachael put it, “we’ve always been on the same page, no matter what life throws at us.” That unshakable bond was clear throughout their wedding day.

Jamie’s proposal couldn’t have been more magical – quite literally. On a family trip to Disneyland Paris, he popped the question in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, just the two of them and their children – no crowds, no fuss, just pure love and intention.

When it came to choosing their wedding venue, The Barns at Hunsbury Hill was the perfect fit. Nestled on the edge of Hunsbury Hill Country Park, this restored 18th-century barn blends rustic charm with modern touches and sweeping views over the Nene Valley. It’s a peaceful little haven just minutes from Northampton town centre, and it provided the ideal backdrop for the couple’s vision – a barn wedding with a modern feel, beautiful grounds, and space to celebrate with their favourite people.

Their styling was a gorgeous blend of rustic textures with soft hints of pink – a subtle nod to Rachael’s favourite colour. Everything from the flowers to the table details had a personal touch, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that felt true to them. Their first dance was to Take On the World by You Me at Six – a track that’s followed their relationship for years and perfectly summed up their journey.
