The Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park has to be one of Bedfordshire's most unusual wedding venues. Set right in the heart of Woburn Safari Park, it gives you the opportunity to celebrate your wedding surrounded by beautiful parkland, lakes and some rather extraordinary neighbours including giraffes, elephants, tigers and lions.
The Safari Lodge itself overlooks Swan Lake and the Desert Springs enclosure. Huge panoramic windows fill the room with natural daylight, while the large south-facing veranda gives you a brilliant outdoor space for drinks, photographs and simply enjoying the surroundings with your guests.
What makes a Woburn Safari Lodge wedding particularly memorable is that you can make the safari experience part of the day. Depending on your plans, there are options including exclusive VIP safari experiences, animal encounters, pedalo boats on Swan Lake and even a private journey on The Great Woburn Railway.

The Story of Woburn Safari Lodge
Woburn Safari Park opened in 1970 within the historic Woburn Estate and has grown into one of Britain's best known wildlife parks. Today the park stretches across hundreds of acres of Bedfordshire countryside and is home to an extraordinary collection of animals from around the world.
Hidden inside the Safari Park is the Safari Lodge, a purpose-built events venue that has become one of the most unusual places to get married in Bedfordshire. Rather than looking out over a conventional hotel garden, your wedding guests can find themselves overlooking Swan Lake and animal enclosures while enjoying their reception.
The large panoramic windows and south-facing veranda make the Safari Lodge feel closely connected to the park throughout the day. Guests may even spot animals including meerkats and otters while looking out across the surrounding area.
For wedding photography, the setting offers opportunities you simply do not get at a traditional venue. The Safari Park team can help coordinate access to suitable photography locations and couples can even add experiences such as a VIP safari tour or animal encounter to their wedding plans.

What happens if it rains?
The Safari Lodge has panoramic windows and plenty of natural daylight, so there are excellent indoor photography options. The unusual setting also means we can still create a varied story without relying entirely on outdoor photographs.
How do you approach group photographs?
Clear, concise, fun and friendly. We agree a short list in advance and keep everything moving so you can get back to enjoying your guests and the Safari Park.

How to Find Woburn Safari Lodge
The Safari Lodge is located inside Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire, close to Woburn, Milton Keynes and Junction 13 of the M1.
Wedding guests should be aware that the entrance used for weddings can be different from the normal visitor entrance to Woburn Safari Park, so it is important to follow the instructions supplied by the wedding couple and venue rather than simply searching for Woburn Safari Park on your sat nav.
